Kennenlerntreffen 28.03.2023 – HERZLICHE EINLADUNG ZUM KENNENLERNEN UND MITWIRKEN BEI POSTKOLONIALEN STADTRUNDGÄNGEN

Wir, die Initiative „Postkolonialer Stadtrundgang Flensburg“, suchen nach Menschen, die Lust haben bei unserer Gruppe dabei zu sein. Auf ehrenamtlicher Basis bieten wir Stadtrundgänge an, die die Kolonialgeschichte Flensburgs und ihre Auswirkungen aus einer kritischen Perspektive erzählen: „Postkolonial“ bedeutet für uns, dass Machtverhältnisse zwischen Flensburg, Westafrika und der Karibik nicht mit Ende der Kolonialzeit aufgehoben wurden, sondern weiter bestehen. Flensburg profitiert dabei nach wie vor, wie beispielsweise an wirtschaftlichen Faktoren ersichtlich ist. Auch Fragen nach einer Erinnerungskultur oder diskriminierenden Denkweisen wie Rassismus zeugen von den seit der Kolonialzeit anhaltenden Verhältnissen. Mit den Rundgängen wollen wir die Auswirkungen an konkreten Orten zeigen, Teilnehmende auf Missstände hinweisen und zum Nachdenken anregen.
Bei einem Kennenlerntreffen am 28.03.2023 um 17 Uhr in den Räumen des Radio Fratz (Große Straße 4, Hinterhof) stellen wir uns und die Stationen unseres Rundgangs in Kurzform vor. Wir wollen uns mit Euch über die Inhalte und unser aller Motivation, hier dabei zu sein, austauschen. Was denken wir und Ihr über Stadtrundgänge und was macht sie für uns zu guten Rundgängen? Ihr könnt Euch so ein gutes Bild von unserer Arbeit machen und dann entscheiden, ob ihr Lust habt mitzumachen.
Vom Frühling bis zum Herbst bieten wir Rundgänge an, die von je 2 Mitgliedern unserer Gruppe durchgeführt werden und sich terminlich ganz nach unseren freien Kapazitäten richten. Wir würden uns freuen, wenn wir in Dir dafür Unterstützung finden können. Als Gruppe treffen wir uns ca. einmal im Monat, um alles was ansteht zu besprechen. Wir kommunizieren aktuell auf Deutsch, sind aber für Kommunikation auf Englisch offen. Die Rundgänge sind auch prinzipiell in beiden Sprachen möglich.

CORDIAL INVITATION TO GET TO KNOW AND PARTICIPATE IN POSTCOLONIAL CITY WALKS
We, the initiative „Postcolonial City Walk Flensburg“, are looking for people who would like to join our group. On a voluntary basis we offer city walks that show the colonial history of Flensburg and its effects from a critical perspective: „Postcolonial“ to us means that power relations between Flensburg, West Africa and the Caribbean were not abolished with the end of the colonial period, but continue to exist. Flensburg still benefits from this, as can be seen, for example, in economic factors. Questions about a culture of remembrance or discriminatory ways of thinking such as racism also bear witness to the conditions that continue existing since colonial times. With the tours we want to show the effects at concrete places, point out problematic circumstances to participants and encourage them to reflect.
At a meeting on 28.03.2023 at 17 clock in the rooms of Radio Fratz (Große Straße 4, backyard) we introduce ourselves and the stations of our tour in short form. We want to talk with you about the contents and our motivation to participate. What do we and you think about city tours and what makes them good tours for us? You can get a good idea of our work and then decide if you want to join us.
From spring to fall we offer tours, each of which is led by 2 members of our group, and the dates depend on our free capacities. We would be happy if we could find support in you. As a group we meet about once a month to discuss everything that needs to be done. We currently communicate in German, but are open to communication in English. The tours are also possible in both languages.
